After the successful editions of the last three years, we have decided to continue our Mangrove Fellows programs: We are looking for an exceptional new intern for a 6-months period after March. So, if you are a student or young professional, and are intrigued by the world of venture capital and tech startups, keep on reading.
This role has been a nice launchpad into the fascinating world of venture for the folks who have done it in the past. To give you some examples: Previous interns went on to lead one of Europe's leading incubators (Céline @ Agoranov) or to launch their own startup, others joined friends at another VC firm (Torge @ Altitude), some founded their own venture fund a couple of years later (Max @ Fabric), and some stayed with Mangrove after their internship (such as my current colleague Felix or myself when I was a pre-MBA intern...).
This role is slightly different from other classic VC internships in the sense that it is part of a larger, ongoing program, and network: 'The Mangrove Fellows'. With 6 months, the internship period is longer, the person will be even more involved in our team’s day-to-day activities. You will support our investment team across the entire deal sourcing and making process, gain deep insights into our diverse portfolio of companies, and create long-lasting bonds with our team and the broader network - during and after the program.
Here are some more details about the job. So, if you are interested, here is the process:
To start, reach out to us by Feb 15 (the earlier the better, of course) by:
Sending your CV, including social media links (Linkedin; Optional: Twitter, Blog) to jobs@mangrove.vc
Suggesting one tech company that you think is interesting for Mangrove to invest in. Please give 1-2 reasons (1 paragraph for each max)
Telling us which technology trend or sector excites you and why
Indicating your earliest availability (dates)
From the initial submission, we select and contact a smaller group for individual video call interviews. We expect the process to be finished by end of February, and candidates should be available to start work in Q2.
I am looking forward to hearing from you and reading your applications!
Last week I was in Paris to catch up in person with some our portfolio companies. Spring is coming fast...
Life is awesome,
Yannick
